The majority of patients seen at our office are referred to us by their general dentist for their specific periodontal needs. We also welcome referrals of family and friends from our existing patients.

The purpose of the initial appointment is to gather all the relevant information to allow a diagnosis to be made so that treatment recommendations can be given. Patient information and medical forms will be completed during this visit. Current radiographs are required and will be taken if unavailable.

A thorough periodontal and oral examination is performed which will be followed by a detailed explanation of the nature of the problem. Treatment options will be discussed with the general dentist and communicated to the patient at this visit or a subsequent consultation appointment.

Our office manager will provide financial information including the estimated cost of treatment and insurance benefits and make it available at the end of the appointment.
